On a crisp winter afternoon in the snowy alpine village of Chamonix in France, skiers enjoy one last run (though don't call it that) down la piste. Flushed after a day on the slopes, they make their way to chalet terraces to cheers the start of a much loved tradition - Après-Ski. Under Mont Blanc’s storied peak come sounds of clinking glasses, smells of cheese fondue and sights of winter pastels streaming across the sky. As light begins to fade and the merriment continues, the cheers grow louder and boots start getting on the tables. Then the only question is: Last call or first chair?

Heavenly!

If I were to design my own palette, it would look like this! I love the muted and subtle mattes, shading from very pale to very dark. I love the intense deep and brilliant pink, green and blue shimmers. And I love how beautifully the colours all work together to create endless gorgeous combinations. And as a bonus - no colours I dislike or don't suit me (orange-red-browns, I'm looking at you).

My first palette arrived damaged, alas, but Nomad gracefully replaced it.

I like the fact that colors are done in a coordinated pattern. If you choose to do one same tones, you can. Or mix them up anyway. Colors are also winter type pastels.
