Wear What You Love

We recently received a question from one of our #BeautyNomads about what makeup looks best on “older” women right now. Our initial reaction was: Wear what you love! If you love the metallic eye look that is trending – go ahead and rock it. Or if you are feeling more of the bold lip, don’t be shy - just go ahead and wear it.

Makeup is an amazing form of self-expression of who we are and how we are feeling. Even more amazing is it is now becoming more and more acceptable for all of us to have fun and express ourselves with makeup – no matter the gender - which we love at NOMAD.

But back to the original question, what looks best right now. Harper’s Bazaar recently featured the 7 Make-up Trends To Try in 2017. We love the article because all of the trends are fun and fabulous, and they allow for lots of individual expression. You can have a relaxed red lip as in their trend #6 (try it with our Florence Bella Bag) or go for some super 80’s look with blue eyeshadow as in the trend #2 (for which the Jardin Majorelle shade in our Marrakesh Soiree Set is perfect!)

However, our favorite line has to be about glitter in trend #7: “The less perfect it looks, the more perfect it is!” So as we truly believe - no matter your reason, age, gender, or any other descriptor we give ourselves; If you love it, then rock it! 🤗
