The latest campaign from the well known Italian designers Dolce & Gabbana is a declaration for why the world should love Italy. With the combination of imagery including the gorgeous Italian beauties, the perfect seaside landscapes and of course the perfectly designed clothes, the campaign is summed up with the hashtag #ItaliaIsLove.
For Nomad, we too believe that #ItaliaIsLove but also that #ItaliaIsBeauty. For us this is perfectly exemplified by La Bella Figura. La Bella Figura is an essential life philosophy for the Italians. It is about presentation: how one looks, carries oneself, makes the best possible impression. It doesn’t matter if you are old or young, rich or poor, man or woman - it is a part of your being. Other cultures have glimpses of it but nothing as prevalent as what you see in the everyday life of the Italians.

La Bella Figura means patience for the enjoyment of life and nowhere else do you feel it as strongly as in Florence, the cradle of Renaissance beauty. I think you could have done so much better for Italy!!! Great job, but especially considering Florence was your destination, you could have chosen more colour. I would like to see the destination expanded with more regions and colours! Check out Puglia, Trentino Alto Adige and cinque Terre. You won’t be disappointed as far as colour goes.
