Matte Shades

I meant to add to my review about the matte shades. Many people have trouble with matte shades being chalky and dry. But, many also do not realize that matte shades are to be patted on, not swiped. When you swipe a matter shade you create fall-out and an uneven lid. You want to pat matte shadows in after using a primer or concealer, and then use a simple setting spray to hold in place. Matte shades can be hard to work with, but I really like the matte shades produced by Nomad, they are so creamy. Jardin Majorelle is a gorgeous shade of blue, to get that beautiful pigment, prep with concealer or primer, and then pat the shade into place and gently blend the lines.

Take me to Morocco!

I love this palette! The colors are reminiscent of a place of beauty and exoticism. Although I have never been, I imagine this city to have a lot of red shades, mountains, and located between an ocean and a sea. I also believe it is a World Heritage City and the shades really show the love and time that went into developing this palette! One to have in your go-to bag for sure. The shade names also make you want to do a Google search to see where the inspiration came from, and they do not disappoint. I love all of the colors in this palette, but my favorite is The Souks and Oasis of Riad. Spice Market is also a beautifully blend-able shade as well. I really like them all and will be purchasing more palettes as they come out as well!

Disappointed - chalky blues and definitely fallout everywhere :(

I dont know what I'm doing wrong but mine has so much fallout it's crazy. I could look past that but the blue and turquoise shades, especially the matte blue, lack pigment and look washed out and chalky (and I have fair skin and use eyeshadow primer religiously!) Also the middle coppery, bronzey tones are not as rich and saturated in person and make for a bit of a boring palette mostly.

My Favorite Palette!

This is my favorite palette! I have always leaned heavily towards coppers, mauves, and ambers in eyeshadow and this palette absolutely delivers. I received a single of Spice Market in an ipsy bag a couple of years ago and immediately began using it as my go-to everyday shade. Buying this entire palette has been the best makeup decision I've made in a very long time!!
